7h00 A.M : Leaving Hue City for DMZ TOURS office in Dong Ha : 113 Le Loi for some explanations on the map ( or Start the trip from Dong Ha City ) - Dong Ha city which used to be the headquarter of The US Third Marines Division during the war - Proceed to Doc Mieu Base ( A2 ) which belonged to the Mac Namara Wall - Proceed to DMZ - Hien Luong Bridge , Ben Hai River , The border between the North and The South of VietNam from 1954 to 1972 -
Continue to Vinh Moc Tunnels : the refuge for more than 300 people from 1966 to 1972 . Drive past Cua Tung Beach which was considered as The QUEEN OF BEACHES by the French - Stop for lunch in Dong Ha .
In the afternoon : continue along Route 9 to The Rockpile ( A U.S Marines look out ) - Stop at Dakrong Bridge which joins Highway 9 with Ho Chi Minh Road which used to be Ho Chi Minh Trail - The last stop is KHE SANH COMBAT BASE ( American Base ) with a big fighting in 1968 . Proceed to CALU VILLAGE for a Homestay Tour where tourists will go swimming in a stream by the hot spring . At 6h00 P.M: Enjoy dinner with some people of the hilltribes village . From 7h00 to 9h00 P.M : Exchange culture with the hill tribes people , drink RUOU CAN , sing and dance with local people . 9:00 P.M : go to bed .
6h30 A.M ( Next morning ) : Leaving the hilltribes village for Hue City or Dong Ha City -
