At 7h30 a.m , we’ll leave Hue City for DONG HA which used to be the headquarter of The US 3rd Marines Division during the war . We'll drive on THE HIGHWAY OF HORROR in The Blazing Summer of 1972 to Quang Tri Town which was heavily destroyed in 1972 - Continue to visit DOC MIEU BASE ( A2) which belonged to THE MACNAMARA WALL in an effort of stopping the infiltration of NVA Troops from the North to the South of Vietnam - Drive through The Old DMZ extending 5 kms to either side of Ben Hai River from The Eastern Sea to The Laotian border . Then we ‘ll walk across Hien Luong Bridge over Ben Hai River which divided Vietnam into two parts North and South Vietnam according to the Geneva Agreements signed in July 1954. Our next stop is Vinh Moc Tunnels - an underground village - the refuge of more than 300 North Vietnamese people during 6 years of different bombing operations. Stop en route for lunch . Drive along Highway 1 to The North , then along Ho Chi Minh Road to Phong Nha Town ( Your hotel ) at about 16h30 . - End of Services
