Day 2: Vientiane (B, L, D)

- Visit Wat Ho Phra Keo and Wat Sisaket (or Wat Xieng Khuan, with its statues of the Buddha, of Guanyin and a reclining Buddha 16 m high and 45 m long). See the Lao – Thai Friendship Bridge over the Mekong and shop at the Nong Khai – Vientiane border.

- Visit That Luang square, symbol of Theravada Buddhist Laos, and the Patuxai Victory Monument, modelled on the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. Shopping at the Morning Market, the largest market in Vientiane, where many overseas Vietnamese live and trade.

- Dinner, overnight at the Chaleunxay hotel (2*) in Vientiane.
Day 3: Vientiane – Luang Prabang (B, L, D)

- Breakfast, check out.

- Leave for Luang Prabang.

Day 4: Luang Prabang (B, L, D)

- Breakfast, then visit the Plain of Jars and the old royal capital of Luang Prabang, its old temples and the Royal Palace Museum.

- Dinner, rest.
Day 5: Luang Prabang – Vientiane (B, L, D)

- Breakfast, return to Vientiane.

- Lunch at a restaurant.

- Check in at the Chaleunxay hotel (2*), dinner, free evening.
Day 6: Vientiane – Savannakhet

- Breakfast, drive back to Savannakhet, lunch on the way.

- Arrive in Savannakhet and visit That Inghang, a Buddhist holy site for all of Indochina. Check in at the Hoongthip hotel (2*), dinner and a free evening – you can go dancing at one of the city's clubs.
Day 7: Savannakhet – Dong Ha

- Breakfast, check out and drive back towards Dong Ha.

- Lunch in Sethamuoc.
- 13h30
- Border formalities into Vietnam, shopping at the Lao Bao trade area.
- 17h30
- Arrive in Dong Ha. End of the tour.
