Day 1: Savannakhet – Quang Tri – Quang Binh (L, D)
Pick-up in Savannakhet and transfer to Vietnam. Lunch in Muong Phin district, Laos. Border formalities into Vietnam. Visit Hien Luong Bridge on the Ben Hai River, right in the middle of the former Demilitarized Zone of the Vietnam War. Continue to Dong Hoi city, Quang Binh province. Check in and dinner at the hotel. Overnight in Dong Hoi.
Day 2: Phong Nha Cave – Hue (B, L, D)
Breakfast and check-out. Leave to explore Phong Nha Cave, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site, and the Ky Bi, Cung Dinh, Ky Niem and Tien Son caves. Lunch at the Sai Gon – Phong Nha restaurant, then back to Quang Tri to visit the Vinh Moc Tunnels. Continue to Hue and check in at the hotel.
Day 3: Hue – Da Nang – Hoi An (B, L, D)
After breakfast, visit the Imperial City, Thien Mu Pagoda and the Tomb of Khai Dinh. Lunch at the Royal restaurant. Leave for Hoi An through the Hai Van Pass Tunnel, one of the most impressive tunnels in Southeast Asia. Stop at the gift shops of the Non Nuoc stone-carving village. Arrive in Hoi An, check in and dinner. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 4: Hoi An – Hue – Quang Tri (B, L, D)
Breakfast. Explore and shop in the old quarter of Hoi An: the Phuc Kien Assembly Hall, the Hoi An Museum, the Japanese Covered Bridge and more. Leave for Hue, with lunch at the Thanh Tam restaurant and a stop at Lang Co Beach. In Hue, shop at Dong Ba Market. Continue to Quang Tri province: dinner at the Mekong restaurant and check in at the hotel. Overnight in Dong Ha, Quang Tri.
Day 5: Dong Ha – Savannakhet (B, L, D)
After breakfast, transfer to Savannakhet. Lunch in Muong Phin district, Laos. Arrive at the Savannakhet border gate for the formalities into Mukdahan, Thailand.
