Day 1: Dong Hoi – Phong Nha Cave – Cosevco Nhat Le Hotel (L, D)
We pick you up at Dong Hoi Airport and transfer you to Phong Nha Cave. Lunch at the Saigon – Phong Nha Restaurant. In the afternoon, boat trip on the Son River to visit Phong Nha Cave, with its wonderful stalagmites and stalactites. UNESCO listed it as a World Natural Heritage Site in 2003. Drive to the Cosevco Nhat Le Hotel. Dinner and overnight in Dong Hoi.
Day 2: Dong Hoi – DMZ – Vinh Moc Tunnels – Khe Sanh – Hue (B, L, D)
7h30: Leave Dong Hoi for Quang Tri Province. Visit the Vinh Moc Tunnels, the Old DMZ and Hien Luong Bridge over the Ben Hai River, the border between North and South Vietnam. Stop at Doc Mieu Base (A2), an American base on the McNamara Line. Lunch at the Dong Que Restaurant, then on to the DMZ Tours office in Dong Ha for a briefing on the map. In the afternoon, stop at Cam Lo, headquarters of the National Liberation Front from 1972 to 1975. Visit the Rockpile (a US Marine lookout), stop at Dakrong Bridge on the Ho Chi Minh Road, once the Ho Chi Minh Trail, and visit Khe Sanh Combat Base. Continue to the Crown Hotel in Hue. 19h00: Dinner at the Anh Binh Restaurant. Overnight in Hue.
Day 3: Hue city tour (B, L, D)
8h00: Boat trip on the Perfume River to Thien Mu Pagoda, then visit the Hue Citadel and Dong Ba Market. Lunch at the Hoa Vien Restaurant. In the afternoon, visit Khai Dinh's tomb and Tu Duc's tomb. Back to the Ngoc Huong Hotel. 19h00: Dinner at the Cung Dinh Restaurant. Overnight in Hue.
Day 4: Hue – Da Nang – Hoi An (B, L, D)
8h00: Leave Hue for Da Nang. Stop at Lang Co Beach for a rest, then drive over the Hai Van Pass. Visit the Cham Museum in Da Nang. Lunch at the Beluga Restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Old Town of Hoi An: the Japanese Covered Bridge, the Phuc Kien Assembly Hall, the Tan Ky Old House and Hoi An Market. Check in at the An Phu Hotel. 19h00: Dinner at the Go Da Restaurant. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 5: Hoi An – My Son – Da Nang Airport (B, L)
8h00: At Tra Que Village, learn how to grow vegetables and herbs, enjoy a foot massage and a free light meal. Drive to My Son Sanctuary, the Cham religious center from the 4th to the 13th century. Lunch en route. Transfer to Da Nang (Da Nang Airport) or Hoi An Town.
